Okay, it's Christmas Eve here in Germany owo; And I actually don't know what to write in particular =/ I just know that the last weeks weren't joyful for me in any way and I still feel a bit... depressed and stuff. But it became a bit better during the last week.

Anyhow, doesn't want to make you feel sad for me on a day like this ^^' Therefore... let's come to this picture~
I sketched it on =MariahAcorn's birthday, and I actually didn't plan to draw Shana and Shadowtear for a Christmas picture. I just liked how the sketch turned out (though I know that I was rather alone with my opinion when the sketch was nearly done) and therefore finished it after changing little bits over and over again. In the end I'm still happy with it, I just think that I ruined the proportions a bit and yeah... I almost did the whole coloring yesterday because a lack of time o.o;; Anyway, I like it xD And there isn't much more to say about this picture. I'm just glad that I drew the two of them again after ages. I have to draw my own haracters much more again, duh orz

Have some nice holidays o^o
Yay for random short story feauturing my characters xD I felt like writing something like this to this picture =w=;

"If I had one thing... one wish what would definately come true... then I'd wish I could give her back her old life... She isn't used to smile the way she smiled when I first met her... it's a pitty.... Oh dear... I wish I would've at least a gift for her... "
He stopped complaining about the fact that he still hasn't found a appropiate gift for his girlfriend for Christmas Eve when he felt that it started to snow. The first snow they had in the entire Christmas time. He turned his head up towards the sky and stared in the deep dark sky. The sky was wrapped in its usual dark colors, just the moon and the stars spreaded a soft light over the land. "Just one more day had passed by... one more day without having a gift... damn it" He tightened his scarf and put his hands into his pockets and kept on walking down the streets besides of shining windows, which looked like gates into other - probably much better and definately warmer - worlds in all this darkness.
Honestly it seems like Shana and himself were stucked in this endless darkness without a glance of hope even in the Christmas time. They lived in their tribes until they were abbounded, a life, that had been guarded and without any wories, since whatever would happen - the tribe would stick together. Now they were on their own, without home, without money and without any specific qualification for a good job. They were forced to travel around because of that. Taking smaller jobs usually helped them to stay alive, the less medical knowledge Shana had helped them in every day's life with smaller sicknesses. Well, it was like it was. He reached the house they had paid for with the rest of the money they got. It was okay, furthermore the old couple which offered them to stay with them shared their food with them, at least one less thing to worry about. With a deep sigh he opened the door, which was - as usually - not locked.
Inside the house in the living room the old couple had some tea in front of a warm and sometimes cracking fire in the chimney. Shana was not there. Since they had arrived in the village she took long walks as soon as the sun had set. She said she like the way the village looked at night with all those shiny windows and Christmas lights. "She said you should come to see her in front of the Christmas tree at the square." The old woman smiled at him and nipped on her tea cup. His answer was a simple nod, followed by a deep sigh. How was he supposed to be happy on a day like this? It was Christmas Eve and the only person in his life he definately wanted to be happy on this evening would not even receive any gift. With the scarf tied around his mouth he walked out again heading to the square to meet Shana, who was probably waiting for in and looking forward to get her present.
It started to snow while he was walking trough the streets. White, fluffy snowflakes filled the footprints which were pressed into the snow by people passing by during daytime. He was able to see the the top of the Christmas tree, decorated with a golden star. He kept walking. Christmas music coming from an expensive restaurant filled the air with some holiday atmosphere. Shana was not there, just some other people came by on their way back home. They probably all celebrated the evening with their families, having a nice dinner in front of a warm fire... sharing smiles and laughs after singing Christmas songs or seeing their kids being happy with their gifts. Another sigh. He was now standing right in front of the Christmas tree, looking up to it's top... looking up to it's beauty and solemnity. He was jealous on those who could have a nice day while he was standing in front of this damn tree, waiting for his girlfriend who probably thought he would not show up again and went back home. He wondered if he was wasting his time.
Suddenly something covered his eyes and giggled. He knew this voice. It was Shana. "Hey, I almost thought you wouldn't show up at all." With a big smile in her face he stapped back and looked at him all surprised. "Why are you looking that way on Christmas Eve." She was surprised. "Well, shouldn't I? It's anything else than joyful..." "But that's mean..." She seemed disappointed. "I've been looking forward to Christmas Eve for months..." Ashamed he avoided her eyes. "To... to give you this!" She bashed something in his hands. Surprised he almost jumped back. "What the heck!? Don't shock me like that!" A gift, a gift wrapped into colorful paper and decorated with a big bow. Shana giggled, smiling at him and waiting for him to reveal what was hidden beneath the paper. "It's nothing special I know... but well, I wanted to show you how much I care about you."
He was even more ashamed. He forgot what the meaning of Christmas Eve had been... it was not only about the gifts, it was the day where it is celebrated, that people stick together and take care of each other. Now where he saw that Shana actually cared about him, now where he realised that he was more important than any gift to him he really was ashamed. "I... uh..." He did not have a gift for her, it hurt him to speak this out clearly. "You?" She was still smiling at him. "Well I actually... I do not have a gift for you... I haven't found anything that was fitting..." He faced the ground, but the only thing that he could clearly see were the gift he was still holding in his hands. Silence. Seconds of silence that tortured him like enduring weeks, months - no - years without light in a silent world. "It's okay... I'm... I'm just glad that you're with me." Shana looked quite confused. "I actually didn't expect a gift from you anyway. You know... we barely have the money to buy us a appropiate meal for every day, so I didn't expect that..." She scratched her head. "Nevermind." She still had this warm smile in her face. "Just stay with me, will you? That would make me more happy than any other gift in this world." Hearing this let him feel much warmer than before... "Shana?" She looked at him with a questioning expression in her face. "Thank you... thank you for everything... and thank you for the best Christmas Eve of my life..."
