Since I think they look quite nice all together in one picture I put them all together and submit them as well - to spam your inbox even more : > But because this would be too less to my mind you'll get a little short story in here again :o And, of course, a little summarizing describtion as well.

It was a quite nice experience to finish off this challenge, because it was a little more detailled than the last ones. I still feel a little bad, because I would've loved to do a comic again, but this would have probably taken too much time - and in the end I also had to study for my finals. I found a compromise with skipping inking my sketches and used my cleaned sketches as line arts instead. I'm quite surprised how good it turned out after all - especially with a slightly modified, softer cell shading. It differs from the rest of my gallery in a positive way, I like that! Also practising perspective a little and using some techniques to do rain was a nice experience. I love rain pictures, and doing rain - yet it's quite difficult and I'm still not perfect at doing it. I found some helpful tutorials, but since it's quite late already I'll add them tomorrow *yawns* Hope you're cool with that ;D

And now, please keep your fingers crossed for me. With the extension there might be another week left for finishing the R4 entries, yet I think I won't have the time to work on this entries more. There is another picture I have to finish in a while, more over two more exams are awaiting me and I'd like to prepare for them. So, what I did here is either enough for proceeding to round 5 (which would make me happy hehe) or not - but in the end I regret nothing. I did something, so I wouldn't drop out due to being lazy. I just wished that there wouldn't have been another extension ticket used, because now there is only one left - how are we supposed to survive the remaining 5 rounds without them? It stays a miracle *facepalm*

And now, the promised short story, enjoy :dummy:

The "Trickey" Challenge

"Oh Arceus, what a wheather..." Xeno sighed and turned his head to the cloud-covered sky. The cold water ran down his face and refreshed him, yet he still felt exhausted during to the events at Mt. Killia. Although Vulcano Town was burned down during the eruption he made it into the next round with a bunch of other competitor - and now he was facing another challenge, a giant hide and seek game in Ohana Island's forest. What a mess... how was he supposed to get two keys and a leaf with an imprinted token from a Pokémon hiding in this huge area? It was much like looking for a needle in a bundle of hay. But at least he was able to chose freely which Pokémon should accompany him this time - so he felt much more comfortable in the first place. Sayuki and Kokoro were actually investigating the surrounding area at this very moment with the instructions of either finding keys or John. Tini in contra seemed to be unhappy in the rain and tried to avoid getting wet by sitting on the ground below Xeno. While Sayuki was still around him looking interested on all kind of plants Kokoro already disappeared into the woods. Well, it wouldn't be a big deal as long as she stayed close enough to find her way back on her own Xeno thought.
Together with Sayuki he reached a glade, the smell of wet grass gave him a comfortable feeling, so he took a deep breath. "Even if I don't find the required items I do at least relax a bit.", he thought and grinned while looking between the near bushes for a key. Then - all of a sudden - Sayuki ran into his direction waving with her arms. He stood straight up and looked at her weird movements puzzled. "Huh, you found something?" Sayuki nodded and pulled his hand, a sign to follow her. With shrugging slightly he followed his partner to a near by tree when she pointed up. His eyes followed the direction she showed and indeed, there was a key between the branches. From down below it looked like it was simply fixed there with a fibre. "Do you think you can get it down here with Magical Leaf?" Sayuki nodded and used the the attack within a second - the key dropped down on the grass. "Only one more to go, right?" He smiled and Sayuki replied with a happy, dacing-styled movement. Maybe - just maybe - this wouldn't turn out as hard as expected after all.

The two of them continued searching for another key in the area for a while - without success. But instead of finding an item they bumped into a trainer. "You - you got a key already, right?" The blue haired girl, who had just jumped down a tree pointed in Xeno's direction and looked at him with a grin in her face. "Uhm... I do..." - "I just found mine - let's battle for the other one's key!" - "WHAT?!"- "See, I don't think that there are enough keys for everyone in this forest - and I'm sick of searching for this stupid key, so battling for the other one's sounds quite nice to me." - "Uh..." - "Or are you scared of losing your key to me?" She giggled cheekily. "O-of course not!" Xeno facepalmed. Damn it, battling for a key was quite a reasonable option - why was he so surprised by being faced with this option. "Hehe, I would've be surprised if not. My name's Bailey, nice to meet you!" She extended her arm in his direction. "I'm Xeno." - "Hey, I have an idea to make this much more interesting, mind if I share it with you?" She smiled widely, almost in a scary way. Sayuki looked at Xeno worried. She had no good feeling about it, but he simply nodded as Bailey continued speaking. "I'll chose the Pokémon you'll use in battle and the other way around by pointing on a Pokéball, what do you think? Wouldn't that be thrilling?!" He agreed and opened his bag to get his Pokéballs out while Tini used the chance to get inside the bag to rest. Xeno sighed. Probably he wouldn't be able to change her mind after all, so he agreed upon the rules "Fine, so... - " Bailey already had her Pokéballs out on her hands. "Chose!" With a slightly annoyed look he pointed at one of the Pokéballs and looked at her face. She just smiled confident - probably not good. "Now... I'm allowed to pick!" Xeno called back Sayuki, turned around and got out his Pokéballs. No need to panic, somehow he would manage this, unless she would pick Rhys. A fire Pokémon in rain - he'd be doomed for sure. "This one!" Bailey already looked over his shoulder making him wince. "Jeez... you're quite eager about this batt-" Just at this moment he noticed which pokéball she picked. Rhys. Why Rhys?! He froze. "What's the matter?" Bailey looked at him surprised. "Eh... nothing... it's nothing!" - "Hehehe, okay! So, let's get that key!" Bailey jumped back and throw her Pokéball in Xeno's direction. A Dewott appeared. "This is probably not my lucky day..." Xeno thought crunching his tooths together. Without saying anything he threw his Pokéball and within a blink of an eyelash Rhys, his Thyplosion, appeared on the wet grass looking rather unhappy up into the sky. Bailey's face lighted up and she couldn't resist but to laugh happily. Rhys in contra frowned at Xeno. "Sorry buddy, but it's not like I had a choice." With a sigh Rhys munched on his leftovers before facing Bailey and her Dewott again. "Alright alright alright ♪♫ let's win this, Sneakers! Use Shell Blade, quickly!" Sneakers dashed towards Rhys who prepared to defend himself, but before Sneakers actually hit Rhys it disappeared. "What?!" Xeno looked around surprised in order to spot the Dewott - also Rhys seemed irritated. Then - without being easy to notice, Sneakers hit Rhys from behind landing a critical hit. "What the?! So fast?!" Before even being able to notice his opponent Rhys stumbled forward, when he turned around Sneakers was already gone again. Excited Bailey jumped forward a little. "Hahaha ♪♫ This is a piece of cake! Let#s keep on like this!" Before she even hit the ground again Sneakers appeared in mid-air behind Rhys. It was really fast, but this time noticed by Xeno in time. "Rhys, watch out - behind you!!!" Rhys already turned his head around and prepared for an attack. From the look in Sneakers face one could guess that he was quite surprised. Could it be that even with the type disadventage Xeno and Rhys could decide this battle in this very second?

At the same time not so far away from this happening Kokoro was wandering around the woods nomming her cookie quite bored. The rain annoyed her, being stuck in this forrest annoyed her even more. Just some days ago she desperately tried to save a whole town from being eliminated, and she lost. It actually hit her qute hard, although Xeno didn't seem to blame her for that. But still she felt uncomfortable. She had failed - if she could only made it better this time by finding one of this goddamn keys or John and take the leaf with the token from him. If only... wait. She stopped moving all of a sudden. What was that sound? She glanced behind her. A Shiftry? Wait... John was a Shiftry. "Stop moving, will you?!" She turned around quickly, but that Shiftry already jumped up a tree to escape. The look it gave Kokoro made it clear enough: this was John - and she had to catch up with him to get that leaf. Without thinking about it she started chasing him, but didn't catch up at all. He was simply too quickly. Failing again was no option though. "Will you stop now!?" Enraged he fired an ice beam on John - and hit his feet. He was forced to stopped and desperately tried to free himself. This was her chance! Kokoro quickly floated up with a satisfied grin in her face. "You little brat... a quite lucky hit!" John seemed annoyed to be taken down that soon. "Token, please!" With an annoyed movement he handed it over. "
Hehe... Thanks for the leaf. But I hope you memorize now that running away is always a stupid idea in the first place..." She formed a small ice beam over her hand and made it spin like a ball while watching John turning most likely scared. Then she just blinked at him, turned around and left off ignoring his calls. "Time to get my reward, maybe he still has some cookies with him, hehe!"

Xeno sighed in relief. His surprise-counter actually saved him from losing his key, and without any discusion Bailey had already handed over the key to him. "That was a good fight, heh..." She looked a bit down. "Now I have to start all over again." - "Well, I'm sure there are still keys around, you just have to look closely." - "You're probably right!" Again her face lighted up. "I can still make it, but you should better win this challenge or I'll be ashamed, heh!" He friendly stabbed him in his side and left off before disappearing between the bushes again. "So.. that just leaves the leaf" - "Laaaass ♪♫" Kokoro poked him from behind with a cheeky face and waved the leaf in front of this face. "You found the leaf!?" Kokoro nodded satisfied. "Hehe, this is just great, we can go to the arena now then! You surely deserve a cookie, Kokoro!" After handing it over to his Pokémon he continued walking - never did Xeno expect to get things settled down that way quickly.

He found the forest arena after a while. It was in the middle of the forest, the map he was handed over in the beginning led him there directly. "Let me see your keys and the token, otherwise I won't let you pass." - "Just wait a second!" Xeno opened his bag again to get the keys and the leaf out, but Tini was faster. When coming out she already had the keys and the leaf with her. "Alright... you might pass!" The not so amused Gate Keeper took the keys and removed the lock from the door. With a rattling sound the gate opened. Before Xeno an arena appeared, on both sides filled and covered seetings engaged a sandy battle field. The visitors cheered up when they saw the doors open. In the middle of the battle field there was a person standing in the rain, smiling at Xeno. "Oh great, the next challenger! Then let's see what you got! Choose your Pokémon and let the battle begin!" It was K.C., the Gym Leader who had introduced everyone to the challenge this morning. She called out her Pidgeot, Dude, which directly flew up into the sky. "Hehe... guess this is a battle for you... Go, Aru!" Without thinking twice Xeno picked Aru, his fellow Swellow. There was no way Aru would disapoint him, he simply knew that. Right after appearing he followed Dude up into the sky until they both were almost unable to spot. "Heh, your little birdie should better watch out - Dude won't spare him!" Xeno's facial expression changed directly and became more serious. "No need to worry... Be sure that I won't let it end here just like this!"

And with this I'll leave off to bed, it's almost 5am and this definately took me longer than expected XD So, excuse spelling errors and such, but my concentration isn't the best at this time of the day :XD: Well, at least you'll have fun reading now

Haha, seems like I fave'd this earily, and forgot to leave a comment!

Anyway, your entry is really great. I have to say, that over the course of the competition, I've seen massive improvement from you. Your use of perspective especially is really great throughout your pictures. Your backgrounds and subjects are both done really well, as well. The write-up was also a nice read through, and definitely helps in explaining what all is going on throughout the plot.

Awesome job! Good luck to you!
